We as Christians all know that our God is one of love,He is kind and merciful. He is also filled with light.
When we ask forgiveness for our sins, God sets us free and will keep no record of our wrongs Now after we have repented of our sins, we must with God’s help, now continue to walk in His light and our names will be recorded in “The Book of Life.”
God is Light and no darkness will ever be found in Him. So to anyone who is filled with hate, who is unkind, who does any manner of evil and does not ask forgiveness….there will be a price to pay, the price is eternal death and their names will not be recorded in God’s Book of Life, the evil ones will be judged for all wrong that they have done.
We are showing now by the choices that we make, if we want to abide in the Light with God or not. This is all scriptural and you can read it here:
Judgement of The Dead……….12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire. Revelation 20
God is not asleep, not even a quick nap will He take. We may not think about it, but He is observing every evil action that is happening to His little children at this very moment. It is very difficult at times to walk as Christ wants us to. He tells us:
Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary , repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.1 Peter 3:9
1 Peter 3:9 is really showing us just how difficult it is to show love, as God wants us to.
In the news today, they told the story of students hurling hateful and evil words at other students. I can only imagine how difficult it would have been to thinking good and loving thoughts at that time.
If we are believers and we are experiencing persecution, just remember that:
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayers. 1 Peter 3:12
Praying is the key, it may seem ineffective, but pray without ceasing, and see results.
What Will Happen To Satan
Revelation 20 1-3 & 7-10 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time. ….. When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. 9 They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
While we are lifted up with Christ to spend a thousand years in heaven, Satan will be captured and bound for a thousand years. When we return to this earth we will be kept safe within God’s holy city. Satan will be freed at that time, and he will gather all the evil people, which is like the sand on the sea-shore. He will then try to kill God’s people, but fire will rain down from heaven and demolish them, and that will be the end of evil.
Oh Happy Day!!
Paradise At Last
Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelations 21: 1-4
In my last two blog posts we spoke of Jesus coming back for a second time. We saw where He sat on the cloud and sent His angels out to gather His children. Graves were opened and the ones who died believing in Christ were the first to be lifted up to meet Jesus in the sky. Then the believers who were alive when Jesus came back a second time were also lifted up to be with Him.
At the time we were lifted up to meet Jesus, our bodies were changed. We will no longer live with sadness, pain or tears. We are now all free of negative emotions. Happiness only is the new order of the day. We will spend a thousand years with Jesus in heaven before coming back to live on a new and purified earth. Satan will be gotten rid of, and we will live with God forever and ever.
There is hope….
Ear – Piercing
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8
Sober: Calm, Clear-headed, Steady, Temperate…..
Vigilant: Attentive, Aware, Cautious, Observant, On Guard……
Adversary: Attacker, Enemy, Foe
Roaring: Blaring, Deafening, Ear – Piercing
Many of us are walking around unaware that we ae being controlled by evil. Because we do not know the Scriptures, because we do not truly have the faith in God that we should, the devil has found an in-road to our minds. He knows just how to tempt us, to make us believe that wrongs are rights. His is the booming voice we will hear, always leading us in the sweetest of ways to make mistakes.
The Scripture tells us to be calm and clear-headed (sober) and if we fully believe, and have faith in the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, way beyond the loudness and the booming of the enemy (devil) we will find the voice of the One who Comforts us. (Holy Spirit, Comforter) We need to search until we find Him, instead of allowing ourselves to be destroyed by the one who roars in our ears.(Devil, Evil, Enemy.)
Almost everyday on the news we will hear of some wrong that has been done. Many times the person will say that “God” told them to do it…..this is how the enemy is manipulating many minds in our world today. He is “Roaring” in many ears right now.
If you are a Christian and believe and are obeying God’s commandment, you have access to the Holy Spirit (Comforter, Helper) and He will give you a mind filled with peace. There is POWER available to everyone who believes. It is the unbelievers who are more affected by the “Roar” of the enemy.
Jesus Promises Another Helper
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-17 The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans, I will come to you.” John 14:15-18
Someone asked me to write on this topic, and immediately it made me pause and think about what could be ahead of me in this life.
I am living my life looking forward to seeing a brighter future. There is so much darkness around us, so much hate, so much evil and despair, but I have to look beyond that to something that is imminent, something that will be bright and glorious. That is the Second coming of Jesus.
As I look forward to that day with joy, I am also praying for an abundance of God’s strength, that I will stay close to Him as a good sheep would, I pray that I will not lose faith and bolt in fright to save my own life, something which I cannot do any way.
When I was young I remember reading the bible and thinking why would Peter do such a thing as to deny Jesus. As I grew older, I realized that I could possibly do the same thing. Now I am at a point in my life, where I am leaning hard on God and asking Him to give me that supernatural power that I will need to stand up and claim Him in all situations. I know it can be done, because sometimes we hear on the news that some brave souls died, but while faced with the difficult situation, they still did not renouncing Jesus or their Christian faith. Matthew 26:31 [ Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial ] Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, And the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
We know that horrific things will happen at the end of this world because the bible says so, and it seems to be getting rather horrific out there, so I pray that my future will see me remaining one of God’s faithful sheep (followers) right till the bitter end.
The dictionary meaning of the word meditate is: to contemplate, to ponder, to think, to consider, to reflect, to ruminate, to muse, to turn over in one’s mind.
There are many places in the Bible which speak on Meditating. All through the Psalms references are made. In many of the references when David is meditating he is thinking on the laws of God or he is thinking on the wonderful works of His Maker.
I will meditate on your precepts , And contemplate Your ways. Psalm 119:15
I will also meditate on all Your work, and talk of all Your deeds. Psalm 77:12
Why is it then that when we speak of meditating today, we speak of clearing the mind. We seem to think that a mind empty of everything will bring us peace, yet the Bible says that can be a very dangerous thing. The verses below speak of a man whose mind was cured of all evil spirits or negative ways. Instead of changing his ways he continued on the same path and ended up worse that before. So an empty mind does not mean a peaceful mind.
The Danger of Emptiness Luke 11
“When an evil spirit comes out of someone, it travels through dry places, looking for a place to rest. But it finds no place to rest. So it says, ‘I will go back to the home I left.’ 25 When it comes back, it finds that home all neat and clean. 26 Then the evil spirit goes out and brings back seven other spirits more evil than itself. They all go and live there, and that person has even more trouble than before.” Easy to Read Version (ERV)
So from this we can see that we are never to leave our minds empty. As we rid our minds of negative thinking, we must keep filling the mind with positive thoughts….God’s thoughts.
[ Meditate on These Things ] Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if
there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.Philippians 4:8 New King James Version (NKJV)
You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself. Exodus 19:4
The above scripture is what God has done for me as I remember there was a time in my life when I was so steeped in negativities. I don’t know how it got to that point, but I’m sure it was by a subtle nudging from the enemy. Before long, my mind became weighted down with negativities. Even in my sleep there was really no rest. The wee hours of the morning which should have been a time of restfulness seem to be a time of great affliction. At this hour every problem in my life seem to come to me at lightning speed, financial issues, bad friendships, work, health; they were all there to weigh me down.
At this time I was seeking a relationship with God, but I still had my doubts as to whether He would really come through for me. Day after day I felt the slights of others, I felt my pain from bad health, I saw our finances fading, but in sorrow and anger I kept crying out to God. I kept asking Him when He would help.
I don’t remember how long this torment took place in the wee hours of the morning, for I choose to forget it. But what I do remember is the day when Jesus showed forth Himself through the Holy Spirit. This I cannot put it into words, but I clearly heard the Lord say; “Leave her alone, you will no longer trouble her in this manner.” Something unexplainable occurred within and I was never afflicted in that manner again.
My torment of the morning has been replaced by the comforting words of the Comforter. He wakes me up each day, He strengthens my mind to seek the positive only. While situations do not always change, if we look at life through different lenses, we will see much beauty, where there was once darkness. Our burdens can be as light as a feather, or as in the case of this eagle, they can be as light as a leaf.
Sometimes I blame Adam and Eve for the poor choices they made by plunging us into a life of sin, and then I wonder if I would have done anything different. Truthfully, yes, I know I would have done the same thing as Eve. We all have our weaknesses, and if I can’t stop eating a piece of chocolate that will make me sick, why would I think I could have resisted the fruit!
I thank the Heavenly Father for sending Jesus to save us from a life of sin. I am so glad Jesus came to show us how we can live as He wanted Adam and Eve to live in the Garden of Eden. God wants us to be free, and even though all of us are born with the propensity to sin, we can turn it around when our eyes are focussed on Jesus.
If we are to eliminate all the negativity or demons from our lives the first thing we must do is to pick up the Bible and read it, cover to cover. It’s a battle for many to read the Bible, myself included. As soon as we pick up the bible we get tired and sleepy or we find that something else takes our attention away. This happens to all of us as it’s a ploy of satan and his demons to keep our eyes blinded then keeping us from reading the Good News within the pages of the Bible.
Not only are we to read the Bible, but we are to claim all the promises within its pages. Every promise that God gave the Israelites is also for us, His little children. Many of us as Christians knows the Words of the Bible, but those Words alone will not get us very far. It is only when we start to live as the Bible ask us too, that we will connect with God on a personal level. Many think that it’s restrictive to have a relationship with God, but it’s just the opposite. Our new relationship will point us upward towards Jesus, making it more difficult for demons and negativities to weigh us down.
Demons do not like the name of Jesus, so it’s better to stay under His protective covering. God is to be honoured in every way, He is not to be viewed as a magician. In other words, we should make sure we are following Him for the right reasons, not just to get rid of our demons (evil spirits) and then return to our old ways. He would know our real motives anyhow. When we are cleansed of the demons (evil spirits) we then have to let the Holy Spirit (Good Spirit) be our new filling. If we do not do this, the demons will return and they will be even worse than they were before.
Matthew 12: 43 – 45 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, He goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. 44 Then he says, “I will return to the house from which I came.” And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept and put in order. 45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of the man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.
The scriptures above are telling us that when we are cleansed from the evil spirits that are within, we need to be filled with the goodness that can only come from God. If we are no longer praising God and staying close through prayer , because we think we are healed, we could be in for a big surprise, as we could now be in bigger trouble than we were before. There is a Supernatural Spiritual Richness that will be placed within us by God, and nothing or no one can ever take that away.
Praying is also very important, because it’s just another way of connecting with God. While we can pray anywhere or anytime, I think it’s also nice to get on our knees at least twice a day and give honour and worship to God, He is worthy of it. The rest of the time we can stay connected whether we are birding, driving, gardening, golfing, whatever we may be doing.
Once the evil spirits are gone from with us, we need another Spirit to fill that void. The Holy Spirit is His name. The voices of torment will now be replaced with a Voice of Comfort. We know this because just before Jesus left this earth, He said to His disciples: John 14: 15 – 18 If you love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
If we are seeking after worldly desires we will never be able to understand the Holy Spirit. It is only when we are seeking after God with all our hearts, that He will be available to us. So we need to make up our minds which path we would like to take.
John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you in all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears, He will speak, and He will tell you things to come.
God is good, He did not leave us alone, even though many of us feel abandoned by Him. We are all free to connect with Him if we choose to and just by doing these few simple things we can live our lives more freely as we get ready for a life in eternity.
