Spiritually and Emotionally Connected

We are heading towards a big Spiritual and Emotional shake up. We will be thoroughly jolted, only then will the true followers of Christ stand up and follow, the others will fall by the way.

The earth is broken up, the earth is split asunder, the earth is violently shaken. Isaiah 24:19

Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. Psalm 112:6

Upward Climbing Featured

Climbing

IMG_7085 Upward Climb copy.jpg

Climbing a mountain can be very strenuous. I imaging it would be painful, exhausting, exhilarating, yet at the same time depleting you of your energy supply. Some even die along the way while trying to make it to the top of a mountain.

Our Christian walk is one of faith and it could be liken to climbing a mountain. It will also be difficult at times, painful and exhausting, but if we take a firm grip of the hand of Jesus A Tenacious Hold On His Garment He will see us through. There may be blood shed along the way, sweat and tears also, but God will see us through. He will take us to the top of the mountain. So my pray for all Christians is, that we may keep climbing and that we may one day reach our reward.

He lived his life with a measure of enjoyment, and that enjoyment was to visit this area on a regular basis, while playing the piano overlooking the ocean.

Dandelion Surprise Featured

Surprise

I too love doing macro photography, even though I have what is considered to be the poor man’s lens. It can be frustrating at times trying to focus properly, but I love the results most times any way.

I took these photos when the flower was going to seed, and I was surprised by its beauty.

This photo of the dandelion is edited, but it reminded me so much of fireworks going off.

Now I have a new appreciation for this bothersome yet beautiful stage of the dandelion.

Photo Challenge: Broken Sea Glass Featured

Broken Sea Glass

BROKEN SEA GLASS

Washed up on the sea shore pure and clean,

Pushed back again by turbulent waves.

God chastens whom He loves,

The Master aims to save.

Sharp glass now easy to handle,

The turbulence of the ocean has softened

Instead of running from the Refiner’s Fire,

We should learn to seek it often.

The smooth glass in many colours,

Is now a beauty to behold.

God seeks to take our tarnish crowns,

And replace them with ones of gold.

Broken and discarded, tossed away,

Nothing of worth to which one would rave.

The Father saw our brokenness,

And so He sent His only Son to save.

A Tenacious Hold On His Garment Featured

Yesterday I said Spiritual Healing Is Of Value  , and today I would like to speak a little bit more on how it can be obtained. I speak only from personal experience.

What I have found out for myself, is that God wants our full attention and when we give Him our full attention there are many blessings to be had. At first, I attended church only occasionally, then I attended on a weekly basis, I soon found it was not giving me the satisfaction I was looking for.

I like the bible story of the woman with the issue of blood, and I like the way she reached out and touched the hem of Jesus garment, so I like to picture myself that way…. clinging to Jesus, seeking His help, seeking His healing. So, I’ve made it a habit to “try” and tenaciously cling to the hem of Jesus’ garment. I do this by focusing my attention on God, through reading His Word, through prayer, through crying out to Him. Ever time I slip and I let go, I try to find my way back as soon as possible, because life is more comfortable, more peaceful, with God in the picture.

I may never win a marathon in this life, I may never be a mountain climber, I may never be a sky diver, but I’m sure these things take a lot of tenacity. This same courage and determination is needed if we want to see positive changes in our lives.

Metaphorically speaking, we need to dig in and not give up. We need to wrestle with God and stay wrestling with Him until he blesses us, and even then, He is always blessing us in many ways that go unnoticed. For me, I will keep reaching for His outstretched Hand, because I know where I will find my strength.
