Having A Pet And Some Of The Benefits We Receive

Benefits Of Having A Pet In Our Lives:

A pet or an animal must be of the utmost importance because as you read the Scriptures on creation, you will find that animals were created even before man, and for man.

After God created man, He put him in charge of caring for the fish of the sea and the birds of the air. God knew it would benefit us when we cared for the animals.

Most of us have a pet whether it's a dog or cat in our lives.

Scriptures On Animals:

God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them
    reflecting our nature
So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea,
the birds in the air, the cattle,
And, yes, Earth itself,
and every animal that moves on the face of Earth.”
God created human beings;
    he created them godlike,
Reflecting God’s nature.
He created them male and female.
God blessed them:
“Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge!
Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air,
for every living thing that moves on the face of the Earth.” Genesis 1:26-28

So God made the wild animals of the earth according to their kind, and the cattle according to their kind, and everything that creeps and crawls on the earth according to its kind; and God saw that it was good (pleasing, useful) and He affirmed and sustained it. Genesis 1:25

A Pet And Its Benefits:

Perhaps most of us need a pet because of something implanted in us at the time of creation.

Pets keep us company and bring us joy and laughter.

Pet know how to tell us what they want when they want it.

Pets will keep us in line.

And they will lift our spirits when we are feeling down.

Pets We Will Be Able To Have In The Future:

We cannot have a lion or a wolf as pets because of the sinful world in which we live.

But a day is coming when we will pet these magnificent creatures.

“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. Isaiah 11:6

The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, The lion shall eat straw like the ox, And dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,” Says the Lord. Isaiah 65:25

Those who endure to the end will have an opportunity to one day walk between a wolf and a lamb, and not be afraid.

    1. Yes, it’s amazing how they walk into our lives and take over. Instead of us owning them, they seem to think that they own us. LOL
