The Historical Event I Am Fascinated The Most By:
What I am fascinated by the most is an event that happened in the Bible. And that event is where two men witnessed Jesus as He left this earth and ascended into heaven.
While Jesus lives in your heart through His Holy Spirit, He also physically rose from the grave and ascended into heaven.
But before He left, He said He was going away to prepare a place for you and me. And then He would return to take us back there with Him.
In My Fatherβs house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. John 14:2
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:3
Why I Am Fascinated:
I am fascinated most to know that Jesus was seen after He arose from the dead. And that they were witnesses who spoke to Him and saw Him as He ascended into heaven. And that is where He is until this day.
As the witnesses watched Him go, two angels came to them and said that Jesus would return to this earth in the same manner.
Jesus Ascends to Heaven
9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, βMen of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.β Acts 1:9-11
This is the historical event I am fascinated most by. Now, I am looking forward to the day when I will see Him return the same way. And I hope you are also looking forward to this event.
