A Kid At Heart:
For me, being a kid at heart means having a sense of freedom. It also means that I would have no worries or anxieties. And I would also be able to trust.
When I was a kid, life was the best. I didn’t have a care in the world.

A Kid At Heart No More:
As I grew older, everything would change. It seems the older I got, the fewer chances I took. Anxieties and worries would become second nature to me. And there were always rules and laws to abide by. So, I also lost my sense of freedom.
All I could do was think of the freedom of my beautiful childhood days.

Regaining A Sense Of Freedom:
You may know where I’m headed with this if you read my blog daily. I grew up going to church and being told about Jesus. But did I know who Jesus is? https://leoladurant.com/2019/02/23/transitioning/ Read where I made the turn.
After many disappointments, I would seek to find Jesus for myself. At first, my mission seemed filled with laws and restrictions.
However, I committed to step out into the unknown and to follow what I thought would be restrictive. Well, I had a big surprise waiting for me.

What I thought would be restrictive turned out to be very freeing. It’s truly incredible and unexplainable. I felt joyous once again, and I knew where to take my worries and anxiousness when they came.
Is my life perfect? No. But I feel so much more secure for having God in my life. And I also am joyful because I know what He has in store for me. So I can feel like a kid at heart, even at my age.
The Bible tells us that God’s word is the truth, and when we know it, it will set us free.
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32
Therefore if the Son (Jesus Christ) makes you free, you shall be free indeed. John 8:36
I do believe, that if you have faith you can do anything ‘ we have a saing Faith Carry you through ‘ and so we have to continue believing in the true and living God…Just a thought…
Yes, God will carry us through. Even more than carry us through, He tells us to give Him our burdens, and hHe will gladly carry them. Thanks for commenting Merle.
I just read your testimony from 2019 and it is beautiful. I am 72 and I still feel like I have so much to learn and discover about my faith and hope in Jesus
True, there is no freedom like that which Jesus Christ gives.
That is so true. Thanks for commenting.
You are welcome.
I must agree with you – “The Bible tells us that God’s word is the truth, and when we know it, it will set us free.”
