Exercising And Praying:
Exercising and praying are the things I will have to seek to do more often. When I’m praying, I will ask God to give me strength for my exercise routine.
Believe it or not, you and I should call on God to help us with big and little things. He also likes it when we come to talk to Him by praying.
Addressing God About Exercising By Praying:
I like the fact that I can approach God myself. And not only can I approach Him, but it’s laid out for me in the Bible. While most might treat Him like He’s a magician, that is not what I do.
A prayer in the Bible tells us how to approach God. We know to be respectful to earthly kings and presidents, and He should be treated in the same manner.
Before I even mention the difficulty I’m having with exercising, I will acknowledge God. Then I’ll thank Him for His kindness to me daily. Also, I will ask for His will to be done in my life. Besides that, I will thank God for providing for me. And ask Him to forgive me and to help me also to forgive others.
The Model Prayer:
8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
[d]For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:8-13
