A Few Reasons Why Jesus Is My Favorite Word

Jesus My Healer And Protector:

Jesus has become one of my favorite words because I call on His name often. Without a doubt, I call on Him regarding my health. And I call on the name of Jesus to keep me safe in His care.

Jesus Knows The Future:

I love the fact that Jesus tells us what will happen in the future. Furthermore, He told us that He has gone to prepare a place for us and that He would come back to take us there.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:3

Many Hardships Predicted Before Jesus Returns:

It is disheartening to see the destruction from weather and other events. But do not lose hope, because Jesus said these things would happen. He told us that when we see them happening more frequently, it is a sign that even worse things will come. But we should also know that it is a sign that the end of time as we know it is near.

¹¹ And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences, and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. Luke 21:11

It’s Important To Watch And Wait:

This is the time to be preparing our hearts to meet Jesus. He tells us this is important because He could come at a time that we do not expect it.

³⁴ “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with ^[h]carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. ³⁵ For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. ³⁶ Watch therefore, and pray always that you may ^[i]be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:7

At the very end there will be great cosmic disturbances, but by that time it’s too late for change.
