Truth And Deception Seen And Heard:

Truth and deception can be found almost anywhere. And many times in nature while out looking for wildlife, you stop in your tracks because you think you have spotted something. However, on taking a closer look you realize that it’s only deception. And you have been deceived.

While out looking for wildlife, truth and deception stops us in our tracks. We thought we saw a pileated woodpecker, but the truth is, it was a deception.

At other times you may also hear stories and you know that they are far from the truth. Of course, you may feel silly if you have fallen for deception. So you owe it to yourself to do a little searching to find the absolute truth.

When you take a closer look, the truth is much more beautiful than deception. The real pileated woodpecker on a tree.

Truth And Deception May Look Very Similar:

Truth and deception can often look almost identical. But if you take the time and look closely, the absolute truth will always stand out.

Temptation In Eden:

God told Eve that if she ate the fruit of the garden, or touched it, she “would” surely die. He spoke the truth.

“Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you[f] shall surely die.” Genesis 2:15

Face with truth and deception once again. It's late fall in Southern Ontario, but we stopped in our when we thought we saw a Pelican.

Then The serpent (Satan) came along and told Eve she “would not” surely die. And sure enough, she did not die right away. But this was when death and decay came to mankind. Indeed it was mankind who chose death. And it should be noted, it was because of deception.

A pelican shows up in Southern Ontario well off its migration route. Truth and deception is sometime hard to believe, even when it's the truth.
An American White Pelican takes to the skies as it flew around McLaughlin Bay Reserve in Southern Ontario

Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. Genesis 3:4

In spite of the warning from the Almighty Creator, they still made the wrong choice. Subsequently, because of bad choices, we are still battling with truth and deception.

What Christ Says About Truth And Deception:

Jesus tells us that many will try to fool us. If anyone tells you they saw Him, and that He is already here, do not believe them. Because He also told us that when He returns to this earth, every eye will see Him. So you and I should not fall for the deception.

“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.

26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Matthew 24:23-27
