Pursued: Why It’s Good When You Are Being Pursued

Scroll down to content

Are you being pursued? Because at first, you may wonder why would you want to be followed. But it could be a good thing. And especially so, if the One seeking you is trying to save you from falling.

When Being Pursued Ends Badly:

I had an opportunity to watch an owl hunt. And it certainly was a bad outcome for the vole that was being pursued.

The one being pursued may not know it, but they are being watched and listen to very closely.
Watching And Listening

Barred Owl Watching And Listening:

The barred owl was seen watching and listening very intently to everything it saw or heard in the woods. And when the time was right it flew from its perch, and swoop down on the vole it was hunting.

Capturing The One It Hunted:

The barred owl would eventually dig the vole out of the ground and secure it in its bill before transferring it to his talons. And finally the one being pursued had been captured.

Sought After By Someone Who Cares:

Unlike the barred owl, you are being pursued by Someone who cares for you. And He wants to feed you instead of devour you. The Lord Jesus is seeking to draw His children near to Him. Because He wants the best for you, that is why you are being pursued. But He will never force you to do anything. The choice is all yours.

Matthew 18:12
“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek (pursue-d)the one that is straying?

Pursued By Love:

Jesus is simply Pure Love. And He is seeking anyone that is lost. He would leave all the ones that are safe, to go and help the lost one find his or her way.

Isn’t it wonderful to know that you are being pursued by someone who loves you more than you could even love yourself!
