At some point this calf will stop feeding on its mother’s milk and learn to utilize the food in the green pastures that’s spread out before it.

In the Bible there are Scriptures that refer to milk and to solid food. As we all know, milk or fluids are easy to take in and to digest. Some solid foods can be hard for us to take in and also to swallow, but they are still of great benefit to us. Think of this in the Spiritual sense.

I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? 1 Corinthians 3:2-3

In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of Godโ€™s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Hebrews 5:12

But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.Hebrews 5:14
