If you’re reading my blog for the first time welcome and I hope you will stop by often. Right now I am writing a series of Elfchen poems which will be mainly Bible base or on nature, and I’m using “The Passion Translation” (TPT) for the ones that are Bible base. I understand from my blogging friend Richard who also writes poems, that the word “Elfchen” means Elevenies, since these poems will have only Eleven words. You can check out some of Richard’s poems here Big Sky Buckeye At times you may also find me writing Haiku poems which will be a little different than Elfchen…both are very enjoyable to write, and what I like most about them; You can relay a message in very few words.

Holding On To The Hem Of Jesus Garment

Today the world takes time to recognize the birth of Jesus. He was born in the simplest way. He grew to adulthood and He died on the cross to save us from a life of sin. He rose from the dead three days later and now His dwelling place is in heaven. He promised us that He would return one day to take us to His heavenly kingdom. This is where we are right now. Though I happily acknowledge the birth of Jesus, I now live day to day as I anticipate His return putting an end to all evil and suffering.

Jesus

Little Baby

Now our Saviour

Watching, waiting for Him

Returning

……the disciples saw Jesus lifted into the sky and disappear into a cloud![o]10 As they stared into the sky, watching Jesus ascend, two men in white robes suddenly appeared beside them. 11 They told the startled disciples, “Galileans, why are you staring up into the sky? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but he will come back the same way that you saw him ascend.” Acts 1:9-11 (TPT)

Thanks for stopping by and reading. No matter what may be happening in your life today, God cares. He is a loving and a forgiving God, and He has wonderful things in store for all who choose to follow Him. May you be blessed this day and always.
