If you’re reading my blog for the first time welcome and I hope you will stop by often. Right now I am writing a series of Elfchen poems which will be mainly Bible base or on nature, and I’m using “The Passion Translation” (TPT) for the ones that are Bible base. I understand from my blogging friend Richard who also writes poems that the word “Elfchen” means Elevenies, since these poems will have only Eleven words. You can check out some of Richard’s poems here Big Sky Buckeye At times you may also find me writing Haiku poems which will be a little different than Elfchen…both are very enjoyable to write, and what I like most about them; You can relay a message in very few words.

Elfchen Poem

First

Heaven; Earth

They pass away

So did the sea

Destruction

Before there can be restoration , rebuilding, renovation, etc. there is always a ripping away. Things have to be torn down before they can be renewed.

We don’t have to live hopeless lives thinking that all we have is what is right before us. The Bible tells us that there is more to come. The beautiful life that God intended for us to have will come, but before we can get there, all the sin and darkness of this world will be wipe-out forever. This is where the tearing down and destruction will come…so that there can be a rebuilding. The earth as we know it will be destroyed and it will be replaced with a new heaven and a new earth, one where goodness and harmonious living will reign eternally.

Then in a vision I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea no longer existed. Revelation 21:1

When we live close to God, we live with the hope that better things will come.

Thanks for stopping by and reading. No matter what may be happening in your life today, God cares. He is a loving and a forgiving God, and He has wonderful things in store for all who choose to follow Him. May you be blessed this day and always.
