Today’s Word: Authority

Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, 24 saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”

25 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, [h]“Be quiet, and come out of him!” 26 And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. 27 Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new [j]doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.” Mark 1:23-27

“Make the Master proud of you by being good citizens. Respect the Authorities, whatever their level; they are God’s emissaries for keeping order. It is God’s will that by doing good, you might cure the ignorance of the fools who think you’re a danger to society. Exercise your freedom by serving God, not by breaking the rules. Treat everyone you meet with dignity. Love your spiritual family. Revere God. Respect the government.” 1 Peter‬ ‭2:13-17‬ ‭MSG‬‬ –

    1. Thank you guari92 for stopping by and adding this verse. I love this as this is a very powerful verse, and I do believe that this power is also available to us as Christians today. However, many of us truly do not believe, and so we don’t receive it. I pray for a deeper faith for all of us so that we will also be able to trample on serpents and scorpions and over the enemy without being hurt.

      1. Amen as I read you post this scripture came to my spirit. Amen I agree and I also pray for strength and stamina for the body of Christ in Jesus name.
