Today’s Word: Fear

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked came against me
To eat[a] up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the [b]beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.
For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock. Psalm 27:1-5

While He was still speaking, some people came from the leader’s house to say, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the teacher any further?” But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the leader of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.

”Walking with Jesus, our fear is replaced by a unwavering faith . . . we believe!

“Encourage the exhausted, and make staggering knees firm. Say to those with an anxious and panic-stricken heart, “Be strong, FEAR not! Indeed, your God will come with vengeance [for the ungodly]; The retribution of God will come, But He will save you.” Then the eyes of the blind will be opened And the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame will leap like a deer, And the tongue of the mute will shout for joy. For waters will break forth in the wilderness And streams in the desert.” Isaiah‬ ‭35:3-6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Hallelujah, our God reigns. His glory is forever, His love is faithful, and His heart; full with a Father’s love!

  2. O fear the LORD, ye His saints: for there is no want to them that fear Him. — Psalms 34:9

    this next verse is one of my favourites “) And unto man He said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding. — Job 28:28

    🙂 🙂

  3. One of my favorite verses: Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declarers the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 💙 The next verse is good too: Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 🙏🏻
    He hears us, and he has good plans for us. We need to trust and not fear.
    But that doesn’t mean it is easy to do!

    1. I love those verses but I think that years ago when I was searching it was 13 that did it for me. When I read Jeremiah 29:13 I decided I would see if that’s really all I had to do. It is really all I need to do each and every day, to search diligently for Jesus and that is how we become connected. 24/7…There are still moments when He will remain silent, and they are uncomfortable moments. I know I cannot live without Him now that I have found Him.

      1. That is so awesome. Yes, that next verse is great, and true! I’ve focused on #11 during some tough times, and got an outcome better than I ever imagined. It is amazing how different messages from God can really impact our lives.

    1. From Mark 5:35-36
      While He was still speaking, some people came from the leader’s house to say, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the teacher any further?” But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the leader of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.”

      Walking with Jesus, our fear is replaced by a unwavering faith . . . we believe!
