How I Know The Hearts Of Men Can Be Evil

Scroll down to content

We don’t have to look too far to know that the hearts of men can be evil. We were made higher than the animals and should have more love and compassion than they, but this is not always the case.

In the Psalms we have David praying to God and asking God to deliver Him from evil men.

Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men;
Preserve me from violent men,
Who plan evil things in their hearts;
They continually gather together for war.
They sharpen their tongues like a serpent;
The poison of asps is under their lips. Selah

Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked;
Preserve me from violent men,
Who have purposed to make my steps stumble.
The proud have hidden a snare for me, and cords;
They have spread a net by the wayside;
They have set traps for me. Selah Psalm 140:1-5

We can also learn something from this. With all that we may do in our own strength to make the wrongs right, we should also remember to enlist God, so that he may fight our battles for us.

Dragonflies unite while forming the shape of a heart. Even animals (insects) seem to know the importance of love and the heart.

    1. Yes, that’s the first time I’ve seen them make that heart shape. I didn’t know they did that!!
