Today’s Word:  Affliction

And that very hour He cured many of infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight. Luke 7:21

For He has not despised nor detested the suffering of the Afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from him; But when he cried to Him for help, He listened. My praise will be of You in the great assembly. I will pay my vows [made in the time of trouble] before those who [reverently] fear Him. I am a Christian who believes in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I also believe that Jesus will soon return to this earth. I believe that if the Caterpillar can fly we too can learn to fly. We just have to attach our wings in the right place. As you know the Caterpillar uses the Milk Weed as its host, its source for food. And we too have a "Host" and He also provides us with abundant food. If we used the fuel from this food (Scripture) effectively, we too would be able to fly. Our "Minds" can be freed from all burdens and stress. We can more easily be lifted up when we allow God to be our Host. He would continually feed us. God through His word can teach us how to fly...if only in our thoughts and minds.

  4. From Psalm 10:17-18
    “O Lord, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, so that man who is of the earth may strike terror no more.”

    These verses speak to me about the past, present, and future of America’s racial inequality and injustice. God is walking with us, may the Gospel guide our actions and interactions. May our future actions speak louder than our present words.
