Today’s Word: Health

So many of us are concerned with our physical health and rightly so where the COVID19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic is concerned. I know for me personally, I try to do things which I think will boost my immune system, and at least give me a fighting chance against this health crisis that we are in. You may also have certain things that you are doing which you feel may help you at this particular time. While all these things are good, which we do for our physical and emotional health, there is something else which we should not be neglecting and it is of the utmost importance to us, and that is our Spiritual health.

This Is What God’s Word Tells Us:

My son, do not forget my law,
But let your heart keep my commands;

For length of days and long life
And peace they will add to you.

Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart,

And so find favor and high esteem
In the sight of God and man.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.

It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones. Proverbs 3:1-8

Some think that it may be restrictive to follow God’s commands, but nothing can be further from the truth. When we are obedient to the word of God, we are showing our love to God, and we also acquire a sense of peace and freedom.

“If you love Me, keep My commandments. John 14:15

Jesus spoke the above words before He ascended to Heaven, and we also know from the scriptures in Proverbs that there are many more benefits to be gained when we follow His commands.

Conclusion:

So while we try to battle through this current health crisis, lets not forget that we can also look to God for help. Each day that we wake up and we are able to breathe, lets be thankful to God, but He wants us also to get to know Him, and we can do that when we live our lives reflecting His commands.

My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to My words.
Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body. Proverbs 4:20-22
We so need to understand that life in every regard in found in God’s Word. It is the prescription the world needs to find the health it so desires in this season.

“Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.”
Jeremiah 33:6
All positive outcomes will trace their paths back to our Lord. His love will cover us, build up our faith, and restore our hope when we need it most.

“Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good Health, as it goes well with your soul. For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”
‭‭3 John‬ ‭1:2-4‬ ‭ESV‬‬
As a time such as this, we as God’s children; must forever walk in His truth. Even when the days are uncertain, even though we are confined by the day. He loves us, we are forever loved. Even, in a time… such as this!”
