Finding My “Peace” Of Eden #6

Scroll down to content

I’m so glad that I have so many peaceful pictures to look back on, as getting out in nature these days can be a bit tricky, as we try to keep our distance from others and not enter their bubble due to COVID 19. Yesterday we tried to get out for a bit but found it rather difficult, as we wanted a space where we knew we could keep socially distant.

After finding it difficult to locate a spacious place, I decided it would be nice to take in a sunrise, only to look at the weather forecast and see it was calling for rain today. I couldn’t believe it. Any how I suggested to my hubby that we should go out early anyway and even if we didn’t get to see a sunrise we could get some fresh air, and take in a brisk walk, without worrying about anyone being around.

So we set out early to see the sunrise, and being thankful to God that He spared our lives to see another day. Even though it was dark and clouds fill the sky when we left, I told my husband it was still possible, that God may still present us with a beautiful sunrise though we saw clouds and the sky overcast everywhere.

As we got closer to our location, we saw a crack in the north eastern sky. Though it was still dark, we were able to see subtle colors emerging. We arrived at the shores of Lake Ontario, and it was actually a very peaceful and pleasant morning. The waters were quite calm as we turned our gaze eastward, and was presented with the most beautiful gift.

Its truly amazing how each sunrise is different. I am thankful, we got the opportunity to take it in, and I’m so glad we did not follow the guidance of the weather forecast, but instead we were lead by another Guide, who saw fit to remove the clouds, if every so briefly, and gifted us with the beautiful colors of the sunrise, and more importantly with another day of life.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:11

    1. Thank you so much Richard. I find the more we seek Him, the more He reveals Himself to us in so many different ways, and on the particular day it was through the beauty of the sunrise instead of overcast skies.
