Today’s Word: Trouble

I think you would agree with me that its safe to say that the whole global community is in trouble. We are experiencing a great crisis at this time. We are experiencing a health crisis with the Coronavirus, we are experiencing emotional crisis and economic crisis to name a few. I am always thankful for each day I awake, but now I am even more thankful to God when I awake and do not experience any exaggerated and severe health issues.

God’s Word is very encouraging especially at a time as this. If you know God and follow His commandments, I hope you too will be encouraged as you read these words. If you do not know God, there is no time than like the present to get to know Him.

Be Encouraged:

“This is the message from the One who is holy and true. he has the key that belonged to David, and when he opens a door, no one can close it, and when he closes it, no one can open it.

I know what you do; I know that you have a little power; you have followed my teaching and have been faithful to me. I have opened a door in front of you, which no one can close.

Listen! As for that group that belongs to Satan, those liars who claim that they are Jews but are not, I will make them come and bow down at your feet. They will all know that I love you.

10 Because you have kept my command to endure, I will also keep you safe from the time of trouble which is coming upon the world to test all the people on earth.

11 I am coming soon. Keep safe what you have, so that no one will rob you of your victory prize.

12 I will make those who are victorious pillars in the temple of my God, and they will never leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which will come down out of heaven from my God. I will also write on them my new name.

13 “If you have ears, then, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches! Revelations 3:7-13

This is an awesome message to God’s faithful followers. Each day is a day for growth, so this is something that we can all strive for, so that we maybe able to apply this message to ourselves and feel comforted by it.

Ace Emanuel: God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

“Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.] You heard Me tell you, ‘I am going away, and I am coming back to you.’ If you [really] loved Me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going [back] to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does take place, you may believe and have faith [in Me].” John‬ ‭14:27-29‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” Psalm 9:9
The oppression of the virus’ intrusion into our lives is very significant. During this time of worldwide struggle, He is our faithful stronghold, filled with faith without fear.

  1. Leola, indeed our God is a faithful light in times of trouble. Your choice of Scripture is very appropriate.

From Psalm 9:9: “The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”

The oppression of the virus’ intrusion into our lives is very significant. During this time of worldwide struggle, He is our faithful stronghold, filled with faith without fear.

    1. Amen….such a comfort knowing our God is with us through the worse crisis in our lives, and through anything. Thanks Richard.

  2. May I draw your attention to the following verse. Trouble if handled right will bring forth a good thing.
    Romans 5:3 MSG

    1. Amen…yes it will, but such a hard thing for many of us to grasp. This can only be done by relying fully on our God, putting all our trust in Him. Thanks so much for this insightful scripture. It is very difficult to praise God when we are in the mist of trouble, but that is the very thing He wants us to do. If we can do this, it truly will help us to grow and develop in our relationship with God. Thank you Rethinking Scripture.

      1. I am so glad that you like my little insertions.
Your articles gives my memory a workout. The Scriptures I have learned all my life are still in my brain.
We all need to do memory exercises, especially with the Scriptures.
The first real challenge I learned to memorize about the Scriptures was to list all the Books of the Bible. It has helped me all my life when I am studying.
        God Bless your Ministry!
