Finding My “Peace” Of Eden #2

Most times as I walk through the woods, my time is spent looking….observing my surroundings to see what I can capture.

On this particular day I realized that my ears were opened….open to hearing the beautiful sounds that had returned to the woods.

I heard the red winged black birds as they darted back and forth singing. I also heard the blue jays as they called. The grackles joined in the chorus and a raven announce its arrival as it soared high above.

I also saw two hawks fly from tree to tree, calling to each other as they did what may have been a mating ritual.

The temperature was mild and the sky was blue, a lovely day to be in the woods listening to the songs that come with springtime.

Take a listen to this very short video 32 sec to hear the beautiful songs of spring.

“This is why I tell you: do not be worried about the food and drink you need in order to stay alive, or about clothes for your body. After all, isn’t life worth more than food? And isn’t the body worth more than clothes? Look at the birds: they do not plant seeds, gather a harvest and put it in barns; yet your Father in heaven takes care of them! Aren’t you worth much more than birds? Can any of you live a bit longer by worrying about it? Matthew 6:25-27

    1. It was really beautiful Margaret, and yes, I think that may have been the red belly woodpecker, as he was spotted around in that general area.

    1. Yes, me too. No matter how I may be feeling a trip to the woods can be so refreshing. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful, no matter the season.

    1. Yes, it was so awesome to hear all the birds. I know it’s not officially spring yet, but it sure sounded like it. 😀

      1. I think spring has been trying to nudge its way through for a while 😊 I’m so glad the days are brighter now (before the clocks change) 🔆

  1. Leola, I was walking yesterday in a nearby nature park, and the sounds of the returning birds heralds the arrival of spring. Our Creator’s creation is filled with awesome splendor. God’s grace and peace to you!

    1. Yes Richard, so glad you also got the opportunity to get out and enjoy a beautiful pre-spring day. It was certainly lovely to be out in our Creator’s creation and hear the melodious songs of His creatures. For many hours after I had left the woods, I was still smiling and my joyous heart remembered the sights and sounds of my little adventure.
