Now then please take your gear, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me. Genesis 27:3

“Listen to me, you islands; hear this, you distant nations: Before I was born, the Lord called me; from my mother’s womb he has spoken my name. He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of his hand he hides me; he made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in his Quiver. He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will display my splendor.” Isaiah‬ ‭49:1-3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Hallelujah! Father, You know our name. You have called our hearts, from within the womb. May Your glory forever shine, in, out, and within our soul; but forever through Your heart! In Jesus’ name,

  1. There is also one other meaning of quiver. A quiver was that which the soldiers would put their arrows in.
The Psalmist talks about a “quiver full” in regards to children. It is my understanding through studies a “quiver full” equals seven.
Here is the verse I am referring to:
    Psalms 127:5 KJV
5  Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

  2. Hallelujah! Father, You know our name. You have called our hearts, from within the womb. May Your glory forever shine, in, out, and within our soul; but forever through Your heart! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

      1. We don’t understand a lot, but I find that the bible of back then is still relevant to this day. I’m sure some parents whether they may want to admit it or not, (for what ever reason) still have some of those Rebekah traits. We just have to remember those stories where they failed and learn from them so that we may be victorious.

      2. Yes and amen. Remember and learn. Great words. As long as we learn something, we don’t have to fully understand. God bless you. Have a great day. 🙂

    1. Thanks Ace, you are never too late to. I love that you participate and its good to see the different ways in which the word “quiver” is used.
