How To Show God That We Love Him

Some of us wonder how we can show our love to Jesus, but the Bible tells us exactly what we need to do if we love Him.

“If you love me, keep my commands. John 14:15

 

Jesus is telling this to His disciples after He has been resurrected, and just before He leaves earth to go into heaven.

God has left us with guidelines to follow, just like a parent may leave for a child. Once we know those guideline, they will become building blocks in our life, and by following His commandments, we will instinctively show our love to Him (God) and to our neighbours.

God’s commandments can and will lead us to good physical, emotional and spiritual health. In the world that we live in, there are guidelines every where. I as a nature lover will see them all the time while walking along a path. Signs will tell us to stay on the path, do go beyond a certain point, and it’s up to me to be obedient and follow these guideline, or I could possibly stand the chance of walking in to poison ivy, or being bitten by ticks, or even something much worse.

I pray that each one of us will strive each and every day to follow the commands that God has set out for us, so that we can live life and live it more abundantly.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10

I am a Christian who believes in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I also believe that Jesus will soon return to this earth. I believe that if the Caterpillar can fly we too can learn to fly. We just have to attach our wings in the right place. As you know the Caterpillar uses the Milk Weed as its host, its source for food. And we too have a "Host" and He also provides us with abundant food. If we used the fuel from this food (Scripture) effectively, we too would be able to fly. Our "Minds" can be freed from all burdens and stress. We can more easily be lifted up when we allow God to be our Host. He would continually feed us. God through His word can teach us how to fly...if only in our thoughts and minds.

  1. Amen Leola. Jesus gave us everything, including His life. The Bible makes it very clear. God set us up for success. He put His Words in our hearts, and heads. He gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us, and The Living Word so it is all written down for us in a hard copy, that we can (physically) touch. Praise the LORD 🙂

    1. Yes, Amen…He has given us everything that is worthwhile and what we are really in need of. If only we would find the time to appreciate Him!!

    1. Yes….obedience……something that many of us don’t like to do. And it’s just the thing that will set us free.
