“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11:9-13
Scripture tells us that if we ask for the Holy Spirit, that the Father will give to those who ask. The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit will teach us, but the problem is…are we aware of the Holy Spirit and His guidance when He announces Himself to us.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:26
If we have established a relationship with God, we are open to the guidance and the promptings of the Holy Spirit, who lives within our hearts, within our minds. If we do not have that close relationship it will be more difficult to recognize the Holy Spirit. We will be more prone to the roaring sound of the enemy, who will bring anger and havoc to our lives in a variety of way.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8 He also has the ability to plant negative thoughts within our minds.
Knowing who God is can bring much peace to our lives, without Him; there is much turmoil. Even when the dark days come…and they will, when we know God, He will supernaturally strengthen us to go forward.
