Recently I did a post entitled 10-things-we-should-ask-for-when-we-pray

If you haven’t read this post, you can click on the link above and read it it there. The Bible gives many examples as to how we should pray and as to what we should actually be praying for. However, I think that many of us though we may pray every day, that we may do it in a very selfish way, and we are angered when God does not answer our prayers in the way that we expect Him to.

Perhaps we should try praying in the way that God asked us to, as He knows what we are in need of anyway. Also, some of us will give a quick prayer when in desperation, and off we go, without a second thought of God. In my comments for the above post Ace Emanuel said: Good advice! May I add that we should always pray until something happens. “PUSH.” This is so true, and I would like to thank him for this, because the Bible even tells us that. Scripture tell us we are to:

pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17

How To PUSH

We should be constantly in connection with God, establishing a great relationship with Him. When we need favors in our daily lives, we go to the ones we have a relationship with…and we wouldn’t dear ask someone we hardly knew.  After all, God’s word also tells us that we are to seek for God with all our heart, and if we do that, we will find Him. We should really try to establish a very close relationship with Him.

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

There are so many scriptures that I love and hang on to in the Bible, but since I’ve discovered this one, and saw that it also gave instructions on how we can find God, and establish a relationship with Him, it has become my rallying cry over the years. I’m glad that our God is a patient God and never get tired of us, because since I’ve found Him I will never let go.

Even when we have God in our lives situations still arise where we need to PUSH. So if you are praying according to God’s will right now, and nothing seems to be happening:

P U S H: Pray Until Something Happens.

    1. Amen, amen and amen. The problem we have is that we think that the very thought of God is antiquated. As a result we seek to help ourselves by perhaps clearing our minds by meditating which could open us up to certain dangers. We also seek the help of self-help books which can only take us so far. Instead of trying these things over and over again, we need to believe in our God, though He is Unseen. We need to believe (have faith) that God is there, and get to know Him through His word in the bible. When we do this, only then can we start amassing wealth. We will still appear to be living in poverty to those around us, but by putting our trust in God, He will be filling our hearts with heavenly richness which can never be stolen.

  1. Amen! This is so true what you say.
I would also add that when in time of prayer and waiting ask God for discernment and to be able to see through His lenses. In the time of waiting in prayer God is moving things and the answer might come in a different way what we expect, but is always better.
