Today’s Word: Knowledge
Knowledge: When we are acquainted with facts, truths or principles. Thesaurus.com
If we want to find knowledge, one that is pure and true, then we must have a very close relationship with God, for God is the Giver of all good gifts. If we seek God with all our hearts, if we continually cry out to Him, He will speak wisdom to our minds, and from that we will gain knowledge and understanding.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I pray that I may continually lift You up in prayer, and that I will seek after You every moment of each and every day, and that You may grant me Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
My son, if you receive my words,
And treasure my commands within you,
2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;
3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,
4 If you seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
5 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
And find the knowledge of God.
6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; Proverbs 2:1-7
Ace Emanuel:
“Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.” Proverbs 1:7 NLT
And with this promise we are assured that God, who is the author and finisher of our faith, can guarantee that wisdom can only be atttibited to his will in our lives. Let us continue to seek him for then spiritiual insight to live as ambassadors for Chirst.

“To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.”
1 Corinthians 12:7-11 ESV
Father, for those who have seen their gift manifested; may Your love teach them how to use it in Your name. For those who have not yet seen, may the vision become clear. A heart equip with the Knowledge, still needs faith in Your love; to truly be empowered! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

James 1:5 — If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
I love this verse from James and indeed if we desire knowledge and ask God He rewards us if we diligently seek Him.
(Hosea 4:6 KJV) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

From Ephesians 3:18-19
“I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
The early Christians (and even those today) sometimes find the mysteries of Christ to go far beyond their mortal knowledge and understanding. Through the Spirit, we might become more faithful in our daily walk with Jesus. One of the best ways to increase our knowledge is through regular reading and study of God’s Word.

I am a Christian who believes in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I also believe that Jesus will soon return to this earth.
I believe that if the Caterpillar can fly we too can learn to fly. We just have to attach our wings in the right place. As you know the Caterpillar uses the Milk Weed as its host, its source for food. And we too have a "Host" and He also provides us with abundant food. If we used the fuel from this food (Scripture) effectively, we too would be able to fly. Our "Minds" can be freed from all burdens and stress. We can more easily be lifted up when we allow God to be our Host. He would continually feed us. God through His word can teach us how to fly...if only in our thoughts and minds.

Amen…so very true bigskybuckeye. When we read and study the word of God on a daily basis, it is only then that we will acquire the purest form of knowledge….which can only come from God.
I appreciate your thoughtful words Leola. God’s peace!
Blessings!!🙏🏾🙏🏾
Here is my verse to go with the word “knowledge”. It speaks for itself.
(Hosea 4:6 KJV) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
This is another good one, and one we should really take heed of. It’s very important for us to have a knowledge of God and His character, for through Him we can certainly gain eternal life. A lack of knowing who He is…or accepting Him and we perish. Thanks for taking part Rethinking Scripture.

This is so very true, we just need to be patient and wait on Him. Thanks so much for taking part gifted50.
Love the challenge idea.
Thanks… I think its a great way for us to look up different verses on a particular word, and share what they may mean to us.
Yes, A biblical refresher course.

Good advice for us from the Bible….thanks Margaret.
Thank the LORD for all the good advice His Word provides. What lost sheep we would be without it 🙂 It is always a pleasure participating in your challenge. 🙂
Thanks Margaret…I love connecting with you guys in this way through scripture. God’s advice is really truly “food” for the soul. I would be so lost and confused without His advice. The more I get to know and understand His Word, the more secure and confident I feel in Him. He is AWESOME!!
