1   Every Thursday I would give you something from the bible and you find a scripture to go with the word. If you want you can write a little bit on what the scripture means to you. Don’t forget to follow  mycreatorscreation so you won’t miss out on this challenge.

Today’s Word: Fight

Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 1 Corinthians 9:26

1000 Islands

When we think of fighting, most of us will think of it in the physical sense, but most times we are engaged in a spiritual battle, and will be aimlessly beating the air if we do not have God in our lives. It can be very difficult to maintain our faith in God at times, but when we know God and strive to maintain that faith, He will be right beside us, ready to fight our battles.

Our faith in God will give us purpose. We will know what our purpose in life is, and we will also know how the battle will be won, so that we will not be aimlessly fighting. When we give all our burdens to God, He will fight our battles, clearing the obstacles out of our way, so that that we can move forward in this race of life, with much hope and certainty.

Our main purpose in this life should be to worship and to adore God first. Then other earthly important things may follow.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (2 Timothy 4:7)
I pray that God will help us all to fight a good fight and run this course of life so that we can receive our rewards.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:7-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Exodus 14:14 ESV
The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
I really like this promise because I think as humans, we tend to ignore this option because we neglect the power of God. We are so independent and rely only on our own strength, God is saying to have a paradigm shift in our thinking and let him fight our battles.

Exodus 14:14

Our sovereign God proves He is truly God when He crushes the pursuing Egyptian chariots at the Red Sea. God stands ready to fight; we just need to remain faithful to Him.

    1. Amen—Oh, to have that faith to always believe and not waiver—believing that God will do as He says.

    1. Exactly— This is very true what you say. I believe we have a lot of power available to us through Jesus Christ our Lord, but we are not using it. If we truly believe the Words we read in the Bible, I believe they would make a big difference in our lives. If God said with a little faith we can move mountain, then if we fully believe, we should be able to spiritually move mountains—of course not in our own strength, but with our God doing the heavy lifting for us. He has the power to do it, and He’s waiting for us to accept it.
