A few days ago we took the opportunity to go for one of those long drives into the countryside. We traveled for two hours to the north of us, going into the Haliburton region.

The further north we traveled, we could see the vibrant fall colors appearing.

While there are many places around where you can view the fall colors, I just loved seeing the beautiful reflections in the water.

Many of these photos were taken in the Dorset Community, with it’s Painted Lakes and Lookout Tower.

It was  very picturesque place to spend a few hours.

Though it is with some sadness that we see the summer pass by, one can’t help but take a moment to be joyous as our eyes feast on the colors of nature.

  1. Great post with lovely photographs. The beauty of the nature often reminds us of God’s immense love for us despite our shortcomings. Thanks a lot for sharing. 🌹🙏

    1. You should, just the drive alone is very beautiful. We drove by many lakes where the fall colors were so beautifully reflected in the water.

  2. Gorgeous! I can’t say I’m sad to see summer go from down here in Tennessee. It just left us last week taking it’s 97-degree heat with it finally! We’re quite thrilled to have some temps below 90. 😉

    1. The wind has been strong the last couple of days, so I’m sure they will be gone soon. Then I guess I’ll have to look forward to the beauty of the snow and all that it brings.

      1. So of right now, I say I will embrace each snowfall instead of looking at it with dread…hopefully that won’t change. 😃
