Life does not have to be lonely, there is and will always be One true friendship. It is good and healthy to have friendships in our lives and we should be a support for one another. Often times situations tend to arise, real or imagined which can put a strain on friendships.
There is One true friend that I have found, and He is the One that will love me and will never give up on me no matter what the situation may be.
As I walk along these tranquil pathways, I know that God is with me always. He is gracious and kind and ever so merciful. At every turn and at every bend, I know that God is at my side.
The Bible tells us it is great to have friendships. We should be kind to one another and be a support for each other. Our sinful natures usually will get in the way trying to mar our friendships.
For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. Ecclesiastes 4:10
We truly need to be there for each other, this is one way to defeat the enemy. He likes to divide and separate. When walking close with God, He will be our protector against the enemy.
I am thankful for the friendships that God has place in my way, if only for a time, if only for a moment. But through it all I thank God for His unfailing Friendship. He really does stick closer than a brother.
So if anyone is feeling lonely today, it really is true. God will supernaturally lift the downtrodden. God will bring joy to a lonely heart. He seeks to be a true Friend to each and everyone of us. When we get to know Him, His love fills our hearts with joy.
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11

These are wonderful words indeed. I am in agreement with your thoughts and I can David and Jonathan’s tight relationship. It’s important that we never ignore our earthly friendships and if they become strained, for whatever reasons. We must always seek to make ammends, through the workings of the holy spirit. It’s better to live in peace than strife. Proverbs 17:2
I need to remember this
Me too–anything I write is also a reminder for myself, or something that I need to reinforce. It’s not just for others. Thank God for His tender mercies.
Yes, this is so true. What an amazing friendship David and Jonathan had, and as we do know that right from the beginning God wants us to be kind and to be a support for one another while never letting the enemy come between.
