Some times it really does pay to be still. Just be still and take in the beauty that surrounds us. I think that I’m finally learning my limits, limits that work well for me. I am getting a better since of when to go and when to stand still.
There is much to see surrounding the Chateau Frontenac. There are also a set of stairs that lead you further up to the Plains of Abraham. On this particular day, knowing my limit, I decided to stay behind, while my much more athletic sister took the many steps up to the Plains of Abraham.
While waiting below I noticed that the sky was quickly changing, and the sun beginning to set. Since I had some time, I decided to play with the camera, and I was able to get these silhouettes at various times of the setting sun.
As always, what we will see with the naked eye is much more stunning.
It had been a beautiful summer day, the skies were blue and the water below—also blue. Now it was a pleasure to see the sunset as I took in the view around the Chateau Frontenac.
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm+46:10 NKJV
