1   Every Thursday I would give you something from the bible and you find a scripture to go with the word. If you want you can write a little bit on what the scripture means to you. Don’t forget to follow  mycreatorscreation so you won’t miss out on this challenge.

Today’s Word: Sanctuary

And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. Exodus+25:8 NKJV

This scripture tells us the importance of the earthly sanctuary. It is a sacred place where the presence of the Lord can be felt—but as we know His presence can be also felt anywhere and not only within the walls of the church.

The Heavenly Sanctuary ] But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Hebrews+9:11 NKJV

Some think that heaven is within us and things of that nature, and while some aspects of that may be true, there is an actual destination awaiting God’s followers. Scripture tells us there is an earthly sanctuary that God gave the instructions to build and as you can see also from the scripture above there also is a heavenly sanctuary not built by any human. I also believe that John’s vision was of the heavenly sanctuary. Here is a description of it in Revelations:

The Throne Room of Heaven

After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”

Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white b]” robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:

“Holy, holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!”

Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

11 “You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”

Revelations 4:1-11

With all the heartache and bloodshed in this world that we are living in, it is wonderful to know the beauty we have awaiting us when we follow in the pathway of the Lord.

If you are feeling downtrodden and hopeless, much hope and happiness can be gained by trusting God. He truly is Alive and will bring an end to all heartache and pain in His good timing.

“But the man who is unclean, and does not purify himself; that person shall be cut off from among the assembly, because he has defiled the sanctuary of the LORD. The water for purification has not been sprinkled on him; he is unclean.”

Sanctify the Lord of hosts Himself; and let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread. And He shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Isaiah 8:13-14

    1. And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Revelation 19:6

  1. Amen! I love this challenge. When I’m resettled over on the blog, I hope to participate.

    1. I’m so glad to hear this. I’m happy I found your blog and was a bit sadden when i read on one of your post that you might be leaving. I’m glad to hear that you will be staying. For me it can become quite busy at time and very difficult to keep up, but I have made up my mind that I will stay the course. I may miss a day or two, but I will always come back.

      1. I decided to take a break for the rest of the week and reexamined things. I guess I still have work to do so I’ll be staying for now. And I love your blog! It’s so delightful and refreshing! May God continue to bless you.

      2. So glad you will be staying. Blogging is hard work and it takes a lot of time, and once you fall behind it’s difficult to catch up, but I vow not to let these things stop me. Sometimes life gets busy and you may not be able to write for a while, but as soon as you can —-just pick it back up again. Thank you for your kind words in regards to my blog. I try to use it first and foremost as a witness for our Lord and Saviour.

      3. Yes, it is especially when life catches up. I’ve been blogging since 2012 (started with a football blog that is now deleted) and I certainly had my highs and lows. I’m about the Father’s business and I still have work here to do.

Thank you for the encouragement and you’re welcome. <3
