Today’s Word: Oppressed

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. Psalm 9:9 NKJV

“He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth!” Isaiah‬ ‭53:7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable. –Isaiah 3:5

I am a Christian who believes in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I also believe that Jesus will soon return to this earth. I believe that if the Caterpillar can fly we too can learn to fly. We just have to attach our wings in the right place. As you know the Caterpillar uses the Milk Weed as its host, its source for food. And we too have a "Host" and He also provides us with abundant food. If we used the fuel from this food (Scripture) effectively, we too would be able to fly. Our "Minds" can be freed from all burdens and stress. We can more easily be lifted up when we allow God to be our Host. He would continually feed us. God through His word can teach us how to fly...if only in our thoughts and minds.

  3. Yes, I was oppressed and suppressed and that was the time when I wanted to hold fast to the statutes of the Lord. I lack worldly powers that’s the reason I seek for the heavenly powers of the Most High to survive and fight against the adversary, the Satan.. thank you so much for sharing.

    1. This is such a beautiful text—how many of us would do that!! Sorry, I was very late this week, almost didn’t get the challenge on on Thursday. Because of computer issues I got it on with 2 mins to spare, before going into Friday. 😃
