It was a full day of celebrations in the city of Toronto, but the whole country who embraced the Toronto Raptors took time out also to celebrate.

Apparently by six thirty this morning Nathan Phillips Square was already half filled, for a parade that would start several hours later. There was joy and there was laughter and everyone had one thing in common and that was to celebrate the Toronto Raptors being champions.
It was reported that people helped one another throughout the day by showing them kindness, whether it was to offer a drink of water or a Popsicle to help them stay cool. However, the celebrations were somewhat marred when a shooting took place, a few people got shot and some were trampled.

As grand as this celebration was, one day soon all of God’s people will be having a much grander celebration. It will be one of total heavenly bliss with nothing to dampen our happy state.
When Jesus returns to this earth it will be an occasion that the whole world will see and celebrate. It will be bright, it will be loud, the graves will open. It will be something the will be viewed by all.
I pray that we will be the ones who will be caught up in the air to meet Him.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4
