How I Know Life Is Fleeting

Scroll down to content

Life is fleeting and our situations can change very quickly from day to day, just like this beautiful tulip. On this particular day the tulip was opened as wide as possible. Every one who saw it commented on it and it’s beauty.

The below photo shows a close-up of the center of the tulip.

Falling Apart:

The full bloom of yesterday which seemed to be rejoicing in the sunshine, was now the next day already starting to fall apart.

We too can be like that tulip. One day we can be full of life, but the next day things can start changing drastically and falling apart.

Though still very beautiful, pieces are missing and little cracks can already be seen. The tulip if well rooted though it loses its petals for now; will bloom again the next year after having a rest period.

We too, though we may fall apart at times, if we are also well rooted, if we have a good foundation, and we are connected to the Rock (Jesus Christ) we too can grow stronger and also bloom again.

Conclusion:

Not only do most of us have great challenges and difficulties along the way, but there is still much beauty to be had and to be enjoyed while we are here on this earth, but over all, the time that we spend on this earth is very short, so we should make the most of what we have. If we are to fight, our fights should be to build up and to make whole, not to tare down and to fall apart.

Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my age is as nothing before You; Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Psalm 39:5
