How To Avoid The Deep Mire

Trees reflect their nakedness into the muddy waters near the Carden Alvar. This photo reminds me of an abstract painting.

Cry For Help:

I sink in deep mire, Where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, Where the floods overflow me. Psalm 69:2

Prayer For Deliverance:

Deliver me out of the mire, And let me not sink; Let me be delivered from those who hate me, And out of the deep waters. Psalm 69:14

Carden Alvar #2

Living Water:

Many of us at times may feel like David in the above Scripture. We may feel like we are sinking deep and that the waters are about to swallow us up. If you are feeling this way at any time, you can cry out to God just as David did in the second Scripture. He asked God to deliver him, and not to let him sink. We may at this time feel as though we have sunk, have tried everything, yet nothing seems to help, nothing seems to work.

Seek And Find:

Don’t forget that God is always there, and by faith when we turn and cry out to Him with ALL our hearts, He will reveal Himself to us, and He will take the muddy waters away and replace them with His pure living water.

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

The above Scripture is a good one to live by. It should be made into a song, an anthem, a tag line. It should be a Scripture to be remembered at all time.

Don’t give up on God. He hasn’t given up on us. Keep crying, keep waiting, and finally you will begin to see all the ways that He has been pouring out His love on you, and you will wonder how you missed seeing His love before.

  1. Amen Leola! Seek the Lord , and He stands ready to listen. His will be done as He shows us the light so we can escape the deep mire that holds us fast.
