None Without Sin:
There is no one walking the face of this earth who is without sin. If you think yourself perfect, then you are living in great denial. Many of us after we have sin carry the burden with us until it drags us down and depletes us of our energy, when all we really need to do is to look to God and ask Him to forgive us. He knows what we’ve done anyway. The Bible tells us to confess to God.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
Asking Forgiveness:
I remember when wrongs which I had done was brought to my mind and when that realization came, I asked God to forgive me. Where I was expecting His wrath, instead through His Holy Spirit I heard Him say in the sweetest tone, “Forgiven.” In that instant my bowed head was raised. I am thankful, and like David I would prefer to be disciplined by God instead of man.
The Bowed Dow:
So if anyone is suffering because of some guilt and shame in your life, look not to man, but look to God, He’s the one who can cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Your fellow man may never forgive you, but God is ready and willing to forgive. He is right there waiting for each one of us to come to Him. He can grant freedom to any tormented soul.
As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12
Making A Turn:
When we ask for forgiveness and God grants it, it would be foolish to go back and continue with the same sinfulness. We must leave the old sinful ways behind, if we are to walk closely with God.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:7
A Woman Caught In Adultery:
Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.
7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”
11 She said, “No one, Lord.”
And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:1-12
Conclusion:
What a loving and merciful God we serve. Where our fellow man is quick to condemn, God grants freedom. His is filled with love and compassion, and waiting for us with open arms. He wants to free each and every one of us from the burdens that weighs us down. For the non-believers, just dare to believe the impossible today, and find that freedom which can only be attained through our Lord Jesus Christ and Savior.
So true… such freedom in His name.
