Many times we may seek to hide things from one another, but one thing we need to remember is that God sees not as man sees, and He can read our hearts. When we lie, God knows it and that can be the cause of us losing our very salvation.
Here is a story of a couple who lied to the Holy Spirit. You can read for yourselves if you are not familiar with it and see what happens to them.

Lying To The Holy Spirit:
But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. 2 And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? 4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”
5 Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. 6 And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him.
7 Now it was about three hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. 8 And Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?”
She said, “Yes, for so much.”
9 Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” 10 Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband. 11 So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things.
Acts 5:1-10
Called To Be Obedient:
For some reason many seem to take issue with the word obedient or to obey, yet it is mentioned so many times in the bible. Yes, God is Love, but He also has standards for us to live by. We need to start acknowledging God more and stop ignoring the Holy Spirit when He speaks. So if you hear the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart asking you to walk in a certain way that may be foreign to your hearts, do not ignore Him any longer, that may just be what is needed for your healing.
Today, if you will hear His voice:
“Do not harden your hearts….Psalm 95:8
Yes, God is love, and that is why he has standards for us to live by which we must obey. He is our heavenly father, and just like any loving parent, he sets down boundary lines we are not to cross over. He sets rules (standards) for godly living. And, he will discipline (correct) us when we stray from those standards in order to bring us back in line with his word. And, this is because he loves us, he knows what is best for us, and he knows, too, what is bad for us, and what will cause us harm. He knows that walking in sin will only harm us, and he knows, too, that walking in his love, and in obedience to his commands, is what will bring us true joy, true peace and true freedom.
Thank you so much, Leola, for this message. It was beautiful! God’s love is beautiful!

Such a powerful testimony in this story for us to heed.
Yes it is a testimonial that we all need to heed, but I think that many feel that because God is a God of love that His wrath will never be shown .
Soooooo true!
👍👍🌹🌹
Yes despite all of technology we have to be private, to keep secrets, and more, we can’t hide anything from God.
No, yet I think many forget that. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thanks for sharing the story with Peter and the couple trying to hide the truth from our all-knowing God. I have heard this passage before, and it serves as an excellent wake-up call to all Christians.
Yes, I think it’s a great reminder that God really does mean what He has relayed to us through His Holy Scriptures!!
