Oil brightly burning
So that I may work for You
Fill me with Your spirit.
Leola Durant
In the Bible, Oil represents the Holy Spirit. We are to invite the Holy Spirit into our lives, and He will guide us in the way of truth. How does He do this? He may prompt us or He may use others to give us a Word from Him, or we may hear His still small voice as He encourages us and lift us up. There are many ways the Spirit can speak to us. It can also be through the many things to be found in nature.
Most people accept the many ways in which the Holy Spirit may speak to them, however, the one way they seem to be most unnerved is by the sound of His still small voice. He tries to woo us gently out of harm’s way. Unfortunately, we also have the enemy (Satan) enticing us with various temptations. Before we realize it, there is a full-blown battle taking place within our minds.
The Holy Spirit is meek and gentle and soft-spoken, though of course, He is also All- Powerful. You have to be fully connected to God, and in that stillness, you will understand His still small voice.
If you are not connected fully to God and worshiping Him, you will be open to the torments mentally and physically from the enemy. He wants to terrorize our bodies and our minds. He wants to cause us harm. Revelation 14:6-9

Examples of the Holy Spirit speaking:
….and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. 1 Kings 19:12
……..And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. So he arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you did call me.”
Then Eli perceived that the Lord had called the boy. 9 Therefore Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down; and it shall be, if He calls you, that you must say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant hears.’ ” So Samuel went and lay down in his place. 1 Samuel 3:8 & 9 You may read the full story if you wish in 1 Samuel 3
Examples of the enemy Satan speaking:
Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and said to Him…..Mathew 4:5
And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; Luke 4:6
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8

That’s very important message
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment Subbashini.
Yes, this is a very important message, yet many seem to think it foolishness, or they just don’t believe. This message, since I recognized it, is now something I live by. I have come to see that when I connect with my Lord, and I am living the way that He expects me too, It’s much more difficult for the enemy to get to me. The devil is a liar and he is manipulating many minds with his cunning and tempting. He appeals to our senses, and many times we are walking right into his trap. On the other hand, when we are truly connect to God and has invited His Holy Spirit into our hearts, the Holy Spirit also has the power to speak to our minds, to encourage us, to uplift us and give us the peace of mind that we’re looking for.
Praise God that He reveals to our hearts His truth. God has given me this platform as a pushback on the norm, to encourage, to influence, to inspire hearts and minds; to not except the status quo! Most of my post are messages that He speaks through my heart, today’s post is no exception; both post are confirmation of His faithfulness! Recognizing the battle indeed!
Yes Warren, praise God indeed. I’m sure this is not a coincidence. When we are connected to God He will speak to us often. This really was not what I planned to post on this particular day, but I awoke with the Holy Spirit speaking this to my mind, so I wrote it up and I posted it. I’m not sure why it was to be now. However, as I was speaking to Him today(in my mind), I let Him know I was a bit disappointed that it really hasn’t gotten many views. What I got from Him was that; it was a rejection of Him God, and not of me. I left WordPress for a bit and now I’m back, because I too believe that this is where God wants me to be.
I think that that people need to know that they are fighting a battle, a Spiritual Battle which is taking place within the mind. However, what makes sense to you and me may not make sense to others. I think many are trying to fight this battle in their own strength, but they are no match for the enemy. We have great Power at our disposal through our Lord and Savior and we need to let Him fight our battles for us.
Amen, well said!
Thank you!!
