Somewhere far out of my site and well camouflaged the Caterpillar underwent its transformation. It didn’t happen instantly, as it takes about 10 days. All this I suppose is purely done by instinct.
We also have the capacity to know and do things instinctively. However, where the Caterpillar steps forward, we step backward. We step backwards because we try to cause our transformation ourselves. Our main focus is on transforming our bodies when our focus should be on allowing God to transform our “minds.”
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2
Observation: Because of the initial sin our minds seem to be more prone to the negative than the positive. We hold on to hurt feelings, animosity and the inability to forgive others. Many of these things tend to hold us down and make us anxious, and overall they make us ill. It is at this point in our lives where we need to step out and just like the Caterpillar, we need to go forward. While the Caterpillar sought higher ground and attach its self to the branch of a tree, we also need to seek “Higher Ground,” but in our case, we need to attach ourselves to God, for He is the only one that can bring about true and lasting transformation in our lives.
Beautiful image of the Monarch!
Thank you…it must of been taken on a very sunny day….
“. . . but in our case, we need to attach ourselves to God, for He is the only one that can bring about true and lasting transformation in our lives.” Amen!
