Ooh, Shiny!

I’m sure I must have posted this one before, but I don’t see humming birds often in my backyard, so when I do, I always try to capture them.
While standing in the kitchen today, I looked out, and there was a humming bird on my zinnias. I was in a conversation on the phone, but had to put the person on hold, however that hummer got away.
This is my first humming bird that I captured a few years ago.

I am a Christian who believes in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I also believe that Jesus will soon return to this earth.
I believe that if the Caterpillar can fly we too can learn to fly. We just have to attach our wings in the right place. As you know the Caterpillar uses the Milk Weed as its host, its source for food. And we too have a "Host" and He also provides us with abundant food. If we used the fuel from this food (Scripture) effectively, we too would be able to fly. Our "Minds" can be freed from all burdens and stress. We can more easily be lifted up when we allow God to be our Host. He would continually feed us. God through His word can teach us how to fly...if only in our thoughts and minds.

Stunning Leola! I can even see the feathers clearly, perfect! Hummingbirds are curious little things :):)
Yes, and so quick!!
Beautiful shot Leona. Just noticed your last name, my maiden name was Durant.
Thank you so much……. Wow, interesting about your maiden name. When people see me surname, the next question is….. am I related to (I think his name is) Kevin Durant …… I think he’s a basketball player……. Nope 😀
the background makes this “Pop”! It isolates the hummer.
excellent shot!
Thank you so much!!
Such stunning little birds – sometimes I see them when on holiday (too cold in the UK for them I thing) – but they rarely stick around long enough to get a crisp picture lol 🐦
They are awesome. Next summer I want to try attracting more to the backyard.
I loved them all, it is facinating work. Personally I see a lot of patience and love in what you have done.
Thanks for stopping by Merle…I love doing this.
