Friend

Her name was Calypso, and she was a great friend to both me and my hubby. So many things we remember about her which still brings laughter. While I was the one who wanted her, she came into our home and immediately bonded with my husband…..the one who didn’t want her.
Over time, they became best friends, and I was the one left fighting for her attention. Calypso brought much joy to our home for 18 years, but a few years ago, just shortly after my husband finished his last chemo treatment, she would succumb to a growth that she apparently had.

I am a Christian who believes in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I also believe that Jesus will soon return to this earth.
If the Caterpillar can undergo a transformation, going from crawling to flying we too should be capable of accomplishing much more. We just have to attach our wings in the right place. The Caterpillar uses the Milk Weed as its host, its source for food. We too have a "Host" and He also provides us with an abundance of food. If we would use the fuel from this food (scripture) effectively, we too would be able to fly. Our "Minds" can be freed from all burdens and stress.
We can more easily be lifted up when we allow God to be our Host. He would continually feed us. God through His word can teach us how to fly...if only in our thoughts, if only in our minds.

she was beautiful..
She was, and she knew it. We would say to her, “You’re a pretty Kitty,” and she would arch her back, hold her head and her tail up high, and off she would go proudly walking.
What a pretty kitty. The avatar I use was our faithful companion for 14 years. It’s amazing these little blessings that God gives to us to brighten our days here.
She certainly was a bright spot in our lives….bringing lots of laughter, and she knew she was a pretty kitty….lol!!
Awww how could she not know how pretty she is. I bet she purred at herself when she walked past a mirror lol 😉
Lol….
