Juvenile Eagle being attacked by a CrowEagle Attacked by Crow
I love taking wild life and nature photos, but many times I may go out and not see any wild life at all. If you are a true birder, you will wait for hours for something to happen, and that is something which I find very difficult to do.
On this particular day, we wouldn’t have to wait too long for something to happen. As soon as my friend and I got to the parking lot, we spotted this Juvenile Bald Eagle sitting in a tree. There are not too many Eagles to be spotted in our area and this was a very rare occurrence. For a long time I yearned for an opportunity when I would at least see an Eagle. Here it was today sitting in a tree. Soon she would start to fly around over our heads, as if putting on a show for us, with this crow chasing after her all the way. It was a truly beautiful sight to behold.
I am a Christian who believes in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I also believe that Jesus will soon return to this earth.
If the Caterpillar can undergo a transformation, going from crawling to flying we too should be capable of accomplishing much more. We just have to attach our wings in the right place. The Caterpillar uses the Milk Weed as its host, its source for food. We too have a "Host" and He also provides us with an abundance of food. If we would use the fuel from this food (scripture) effectively, we too would be able to fly. Our "Minds" can be freed from all burdens and stress.
We can more easily be lifted up when we allow God to be our Host. He would continually feed us. God through His word can teach us how to fly...if only in our thoughts, if only in our minds.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment Janet…..yes, I’m also amused when I see the little Chickadees trying to chase an Owl away…..they are the smallest and the bravest of the bunch.
I think there must be some lesson in there for me though….the fact that I find it hard to wait probably means I need to learn how to be more patient…..something for me to work on…lol!!!
Great moment to capture!
Thanks…..it was quite the sight to watch it soar overhead.
What a couple of amazing shots! I’ve seen little birds chasing hawks, too. It always amuses me.
