Ear – Piercing
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8
Sober: Calm, Clear-headed, Steady, Temperate…..
Vigilant: Attentive, Aware, Cautious, Observant, On Guard……
Adversary: Attacker, Enemy, Foe
Roaring: Blaring, Deafening, Ear – Piercing
Many of us are walking around unaware that we ae being controlled by evil. Because we do not know the Scriptures, because we do not truly have the faith in God that we should, the devil has found an in-road to our minds. He knows just how to tempt us, to make us believe that wrongs are rights. His is the booming voice we will hear, always leading us in the sweetest of ways to make mistakes.
The Scripture tells us to be calm and clear-headed (sober) and if we fully believe, and have faith in the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, way beyond the loudness and the booming of the enemy (devil) we will find the voice of the One who Comforts us. (Holy Spirit, Comforter) We need to search until we find Him, instead of allowing ourselves to be destroyed by the one who roars in our ears.(Devil, Evil, Enemy.)
Almost everyday on the news we will hear of some wrong that has been done. Many times the person will say that “God” told them to do it…..this is how the enemy is manipulating many minds in our world today. He is “Roaring” in many ears right now.
If you are a Christian and believe and are obeying God’s commandment, you have access to the Holy Spirit (Comforter, Helper) and He will give you a mind filled with peace. There is POWER available to everyone who believes. It is the unbelievers who are more affected by the “Roar” of the enemy.
Jesus Promises Another Helper
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-17 The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans, I will come to you.” John 14:15-18
true words.. I was wondering, have you ever used “Christian” or “Christianity” tag? Many more people would see your writings.. just a thought.. I appreciate your posts. 🙂
Thank you so much for your comment. I will try using that tag. Still learning…..but I so feel that many are suffering needlessly….just wish I could say something to help someone.
I used to have a blog of sermons and bible studies and used both the Christian and Christianity tag all the time.. if you try it I think that you will a difference in how many people will see your posts.
Thank you, I’m still learning my way around, and I’m very thankful for your advice.
