How to Pray

Many will say that they can speak to God anywhere and at any time and that is true, but I believe that if we can find the time to go into a yoga pose to empty our minds, then we can find the time to get on our knees and bow our heads and connect to God in prayer. I do this first thing in the morning and the last thing at night before going to bed. My in-between time is still to keep talking to God where ever I maybe.

Instead of trying to think of nothing, I try to picture myself kneeling before God in His throne room as depicted in Revelations 4. Most times we will say kind words but think unkind thoughts, but we cannot hide from God. We need to clean up our thinking before we can go before God.

Revelations 4:9 Whenever living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to Him who sit on the throne and who lives forever and ever, the twenty- four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

11 ” You are worthy our Lord and God,

to receive honor and glory and power,

for you created all things,

and by your will they were created

and have their being.
