The Refiner’s Fire
It’s along way back from the depths of the mire.
Only You oh Lord have brought me through the Refiner’s Fire.
How did I come through? I don’t even understand.
But I believe I was led
By Your invisible outstretched hand.
All my circumstances I now see
In a different light.
I’m beginning to accept Your Word,
“Walk by faith and not by sight.”
Lord forgive me,
There are days when it is so hard to believe.
For every day the fallen angels
Try my poor mind to deceive.
I am learning when I fall,
I must get up and walk again.
Those who rise are newly strengthened
And they see a better end.
You will guide us through the fire.
You will bathe our hearts anew
Like a precious little flower,
Bathe in the sparkling morning dew.

Zechariah 13:9……I will refine them as silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are my people,’ and they will say, This is our Lord.’
As long as we’re alive, we will experience challenges in our lives. When things go wrong, instead of feeling sorry for ourselves (like I did,) or blaming God for our situations, perhaps we should start looking at our situations a bit differently. The Refiner’s Fire is hot and uncomfortable, but if we would stop fighting God we would emerge better people.
Let the truth be told. We don’t know where we really stand until we are tried by fire…Shadrach, Meshach and Abedneggo.
When our Faith is put to the test, that’s when the true Christians will emerge. I pray that we as Christians will keep “Faith Building,” as we hold on to our Almighty Rock Jesus Christ.
