Love
He answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength, and with all your mind.“ and, “Love your neighbour as yourself.“
Luke 10:27
Many of us wish we had a map showing us exactly how to live life, what to do and where to go. The bible tells us what to do, and it`s so simple. We are to `Love` God with our whole being. We are to put Him first and foremost in our lives. It sound easy, but it really is a difficult thing to do, we will put our Spouses before God, or we will also place our children before God, but that`s not the way God wants it to be. When God is placed first, things will run more smoothly.
As I entered a relationship with God, I realized that He loved me way more than I could every love myself. I actually found that what I thougt to be loving myself was actually hurting me, an example of this was some of the unhealthy foods I was putting into my body. In part because of those foods I became very ill, it was only then that I would turn my attention to God and it was mostly for my own selfish reasons. God wants His best for us, but we readily give into the temptations which are usually sweet and pleasing to the eyes, and when things go wrong, God is the first one we will blame.
Our neighbours, according to the bible, are anyone we cross paths with, and we are called to `Love`them as ourselves. If we are to be honest, this is also a very difficult undertaking, seeing that we don`t even know how to love ourselves, but we are to strive to reflect God`s love to everyone around us on a daily basis. We may fall many times, but we are to get back up and get right on with reflecting God`s Love.“
Be blessed and lets all strive for love instead of hate.
