In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Ornate.”
It took me a while to think of what I had that could be considered Ornate. These are the Photos that I came up with. I took these a few a few months ago on a day trip we took up to Grouse Mountain in BC.
I am a Christian who believes in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I also believe that Jesus will soon return to this earth.
If the Caterpillar can undergo a transformation, going from crawling to flying we too should be capable of accomplishing much more. We just have to attach our wings in the right place. The Caterpillar uses the Milk Weed as its host, its source for food. We too have a "Host" and He also provides us with an abundance of food. If we would use the fuel from this food (scripture) effectively, we too would be able to fly. Our "Minds" can be freed from all burdens and stress.
We can more easily be lifted up when we allow God to be our Host. He would continually feed us. God through His word can teach us how to fly...if only in our thoughts, if only in our minds.

They remind me of a bear sculpture I saw years ago in northern Georgia – sculpted with a chainsaw! Were these also the work of a chainsaw? Thanks for stopping by mine also 🙂
The first and last ones are my favourite. I love the composition of the first one, especially the sunlit leaves against the and grey sky, and of course the statues themselves are beautiful!
Wow. A piece of fine craftsmanship.
I know; I can just imagine the time and talent that went into making those pieces.
You have some marvelous wood carvings. These are absolutely great.
Thank you so much for taking a look and also for commenting.

Yes, I’m pretty sure they were done with a chainsaw. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I really like the second one. There is someone in my neighborhood who does these, he has two bears in his front yard!
