Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth……..Genesis 1:20

God’s nature can be breathtaking and amazing. From indoors I watched the two Cardinals as they flew into the backyard. This seemed to be a routine; visiting the feeding station at dusk, and most times I would hear them before I would see them.

Here my darling, take this seed as a token of  my love for you.

Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them…….Matthew 6:26

The female cardinal was perched on the top of the shepherd’s hook, while the male cardinal would fly down to the feeder, pick up a sawflower seed and bring it up to his beloved.

This ritual took place earlier in the spring, so I suppose it was part of their courtship .

The female accepted the offering from her guy and a new union was formed. I would have the privilege to see them return to the feeder many times. Sometimes, the female cardinal would even take the seeds and feed them to her guy.

My Creator’s Creation is a Masterpiece. Even with all that is wrong in this world, there is still so much beauty for our minds to dwell on. Nature Photography has now become my latest passion. It is peaceful, it is soothing, it’s a breath of fresh air for the soul.
